Corneliss Janse VanDerPoel was born in 1512 in the Netherlands. His father, Jan Van Der Poel, was 35 and his mother, Elizabeth D'Abconde, was 33 at the time of his birth. He fathered at least two sons with Maria Schrijver. Corneliss passed away in 1587 in his hometown at the age of 75.
