Harvest Moon 17 -Hunter’s Moon 18

Journey to The Bower

We depart for The Bower, where we think another of the Stones is; it is a journey of about 5 weeks.

The Stones: found in the Bog in Star’s Reach/Free Coast

• A pearl found at Riva’s Walk
• A teardrop cut, faceted garnet
• An emerald cut, rectangular amethyst
• An oblong cabochon of amber
• A heart-shaped, faceted moonstone
• A circular cabochon of sunstone
• A square-cut cabochon of bloodstone
• A brilliant cut aquamarine

On Harvest Moon 23 (day 6), we encounter a group of Temple Guards; they pass us by uneventfully. We pause at a rest stop and learn that several days earlier a change of horses had been left for them.

Hunter’s Moon 18 -we arrive in the vicinity of The Bower. There is a poem on a sign at the entrance to the cave:

May all who tarry in this place, for moments or an hour,
Find heights of joy, be touched by grace, and catch the lover’s eye.
May blessed friends find what they seek within my humble bower;
Undiverted by a peek of treacherous, gilded sky.
As for me, I’ll meet my heart within the Dosking Hour.
Before my body starts to creak I’ve Things To Do Before I Die.

Various folk go into the Bower for trysting purposes. Ali eventually wanders in to look about, and stumbles across Bri, Marya and Todd, someone who works at the Bower. After some embarrassment, Ali is led by Todd to an area where she could watch and not be disturbed. Bri and Marya return to camp, Todd talks with Ali a bit about the frescoes and the history of the Bower.

Three of the figures are wearing what appears to an amethyst necklace, and the figure may be several stages in the same person’s life. Ali eventually falls asleep in the Bower by the Fountain.

Next morning Todd awakens her and she takes him to the camp for breakfast.

At the Bower

Breakfast -Todd from the Grove has joined us for discussion and conversation. There is a library at the Men’r encampment in Hillock. Ali gets laid by Todd, and then by Marya.

After much experimentation and a lot of drinking of honeyed something alcoholic, we eventually

manage to find the sequence that opens a hidden doorway, leading to a disused chamber, wherein

we find the Moonstone.

We set out for Crossroads at about 1 PM on Hunter’s Moon 21.
