Destine Pavhik “Skydancer” Mann-da Vid
Destine, a Bard of the Kender race, is truly a product of legendary adventurers. Born to the famed adventurers Tasselhoff da Vid and Jolene Hicksey Mann, her arrival into the world was shrouded in secrecy due to her parents’ separation. It wasn’t until Destine’s father, Tasselhoff, encountered Jolene’s new company during his own adventures that he learned of his daughter’s existence.
Destine’s early years were marked by being dragged along on her parents’ major campaigns. As she matured, she was taken care of by other members of the company, who became her surrogate family. Despite being thrust into a life of adventure from birth, she managed to find her own passion as an aerialist in a traveling circus. Her acrobatic skills earned her the nickname “Skydancer,” which became a part of her identity.
In addition to her talents as an aerialist, Destine is also a gifted musician. She possesses a deep love for music and is skilled in playing several instruments. Her lyre is her constant companion, but she also keeps her lute and dulcimer close at hand when she’s not on the road. Music has become an integral part of her identity, allowing her to express her emotions and captivate audiences wherever she goes.
Despite her desire to establish her own fame and carve out her own path, Destine finds it challenging to keep her famous parents out of her life. Their reputation often precedes her, and she occasionally finds herself using the line, “Do you know who I am?” as a way to assert her own identity. However, she also enjoys sharing the true stories behind her parents’ exploits when the occasion calls for it, adding her own perspective and experiences to the tales.
With her unique upbringing and diverse set of skills, Destine embarks on a personal journey to establish herself as a renowned adventurer and musician. She seeks to create her own legacy while navigating the shadows cast by her legendary parents. Destiny awaits her as she steps into the world, ready to leave her mark and make her own name known.
