The Wild Beyond the Witchlight Meets the Broot Skwad
So, after several months of watching the Critical Role stream, and several other Dungeons and Dragons streams, the family has decided to attempt to play a game. The kids have grown up with the Spouse and I as gamers, but for the most part have never played a TTRPG with us, though they’ve played other RPGS throughout their lives.
As I’m the one who has most recently actually played D&D, I offered to DM the game – even though it’s been well over 30 years since I last DM’d in this system, and it’s an entirely different system than it was back then. I already had accounts at DNDBeyond and Roll20 (as well as Fantasy Grounds, but we aren’t using the latter two).
Looking over “beginner” modules, I offered up a few choices, and they thought that the Wild Beyond the Witchlight Carnival sounded the most fun, so that what we went with.
Characters were created, backgrounds chosen, a meeting-place arranged…and we began.
