Ouch!
So, 2019 is becoming my year of Ouch.
June 28, I had my second Carpal Tunnel procedure done, along with one at the elbow (Ulnar Tunnel). Last year, I had the other wrist done, and it’s healed nicely.
This year, I’m hitting the pain medications a bit more often that last year, I’m attributing a lot of that to the elbow, as it’s difficult to NOT do things when your arm is in a sling and at an angle that is fairly uncomfortable. That it’s also wrapped from the finges to the shoulder isn’t helping, as the wrapping makes me itch. Must Not scratch the Itch!! And, of course, I am still managing to use the arm far more than I should. Good thing I can type using one hand, but Golly! That’s slow!
July 2, I’m having another surgery, this one of my foot. Oh, the joys of bad feet and diabetes. It’s a minor thing, so it shuld not lay me up for any great length of time, although walking any distance may be an issue for a few days.
There is avery small chance of a third procedure, later in the year, but that is dependant on far too many other things to really consider likely for this year.
In addition to those physical owies, we are needing to replace several of our home appliances – the Water heater, our stove, and possibly the dishwasher as well – although I’m hoping that once the water heater is replaced, the dishwasher may be magically repaored as well (I think the water temperature is too cold for the dishwasher to function, it’s about 35-40 degrees fahrenheit coming out of the tap. We’ve been using a toaster oven for the past 18 months, as mice managed to get into the oven blanket, and rendered the oven unusable, fortunately, the stovetop works fine. But this week, the toaster oven poer cord decided to melt.
So the replacement process is now in session. Lots of money which we really don’t have available, so looks like our credit debt will be going up. It’s a good thing all of the cards are paid every money.
