Kind of “meh” at present. There are many things that I would like to be doing, but the actual energy to do any of them is hiding.
Last year, I began the process of recreating a chapbook I wrote back in the 1970s – it’s on hold until I can face getting into the garage/shop and seeing how much damage the journals that were placed there for safekeeping have sustained, following the treee branch that pierced the roof of the building. Loads of fun, to be certain.
I have a book on Tarot that is almost completely outlined, I just need the wherewithal to sit and write it.
My genealogy site is in need of updating, and I just don’t know if it’s worth the time and effort anymore. At 67, I don’t have the energy reserves I did at 30 or 40 or even 50 — and I’ve been debating just taking it offline completely, There’s only one other relative who has ever actively contributed to it, and this past year saw her entire family contract the COVID-19 virus, and her mother passed away due to complications from it. None of my immediate family have ever expressed any real interest in it.
The COVID-19 quarantine requirements also managed to end my business venture, before it really had a chance to flourish. I decided earlier this year to not renew my business license, as I earned exactly -=zero dollars=- between November 2019 and February 2021.
I’ve been facilitating a course via the Zoom platform for the past month, a two hour sessino every Saturday. The instructor would like to continue offering it, but move it to Sundays, which, I cannot do. We’ll be talking this next week about other options.
Today would be my father’s 100th birthday, had he not died on New Years’ Eve 1988. Happy birthday, Dad. This July would have been Mom & Dad’s 80th Anniversary (not counting the year that they were divorced, and Mother married & divorced again…)
As I said to the family the other night, “can we just join hands and attempt to contact my departed spirit?”
